Navigating Your Early 20’s – Positive Mindset

by

The early ’20s are a weird stage of life.

A stage where some of your friends are married, some of them with big grown-up jobs, some of them living alone, others still living with their parents, some of them lying in bed all day, and some are in college.

People warned us about this stage of life. They tell us that this is the hardest time of our life, but they also tell us that this is the best time of our life. They tell us to find a job and save money, but they also tell us to go on adventures and enjoy ourselves while we’re young. They tell us that we’ll meet our soulmate, but they also tell us to stay single and enjoy this stage of life, finding ourselves.

You start questioning who you are, what you are doing, and your path. You want to do it all, yet you want to be still. You want to go on all of these adventures, yet when you do all you crave is peace and stillness. It’s a constant battle in our minds. What do you really want? Need?

I think the key is to follow your heart, do what you truly love, listen to your intuition, and put your energy into what you believe. Ask yourself: What brings you joy each day? How can you make more of that? We’re all on our own paths, and they’re all meant to look different and that’s the beauty of life. Take one day at a time. With slowness and gratitude.

It’s the little things that matter in your 20s and life in general: waking up to the sound of your loved ones, putting on the comfiest clothes for the day, the first sip of coffee in the morning, the sound of birds chirping outside, the sun warmth touching your skin, a pretty sky, the smile of the people you love, a delicious meal, laughing with your friends, visiting new places…No matter what happened yesterday. No matter how lost you feel right now. Focus on the little everyday things and be grateful for them, it’s the little things that keep you going no matter how challenging life is right now. There’s so much to be grateful for, think about your blessings every day.

I hope you read this and believe me: You are needed, and I know you don’t feel like it sometimes but you are. You are strong and capable.

I hope you always seek out joy and find gratitude even when life starts to weigh you down. There’s so much to be thankful for. Always.

Enjoy this beautiful stage of life.

From the person who will always believe in you,

Me ❤
