Fans of MTV’s Laguna Beach and its spinoff The Hills will know Lo Bosworth by name, and if not for her stint on the 2004 hit reality TV shows, then as the founder of the total body-care brand Love Wellness. Needless to say, she has come a long way since her days as the beloved and bubbly teenager who graced our screens with her spunky personality.
Between running a business and hosting her own podcast Gut Feelings, Bosworth, now 37, has established herself as a health and wellness entrepreneur—a pursuit inspired by her own experience. “I became unwell with vitamin deficiencies when I was just starting my career in my twenties,” she says. Through Love Wellness, which was introduced in 2016, she set out to provide solutions for female-forward health issues by way of products and supplements that are free of unwanted (but commonly used) ingredients. After nearly eight years of operation, she continues “raising the bar.”
Bosworth has become attuned to the importance of well-being, the meaning of which has evolved with age and time. So, what does wellness mean to her now? “To me, wellness is about balance,” she says. “You can burn out on ‘wellness routines’ just as easily as you can burn out at work. I practice an 80/20 rule where 80 percent of the time I’m making healthy choices, and 20 percent of the time I’m having fun, drinking, eating what I want, and resting my body.”
“Balance” might look different to everyone, but we can all agree that it goes some way to make us feel good. As Bosworth says, “Feeling good isn’t too much to ask for”—a message that applies to both her professional and personal endeavors. Achieving a state of equilibrium isn’t a linear one, often involving some trial and error to get things just right. For Bosworth, much of it begins from the inside out. Below are the products Bosworth swears by for maintaining that balance.
Lo Bosworth’s favorite products for well-being
“I started Love Wellness after discovering how a severe vitamin deficiency was causing a ripple effect of negative health outcomes in my body, so naturally, I can’t live without Love Wellness’ Daily Love Multivitamin,” says Bosworth. Made in collaboration with medical advisors, each capsule contains over 25 essential nutrients, including cortisol and estrogen to support hormones in the body. It’s also free of sugar, tapioca or corn syrup, as well as artificial flavors and dyes.
“I like to start my day sometimes with a protein shake, and I like the powder from Paleo Pro,” says Bosworth. One scoop provides 26 grams of protein isolate derived from grass-fed cows and egg white powders. It’s paleo- and keto-friendly, and the ingredients list is simple and straightforward. The formula is gluten- and lactose-free, and it contains no artificial fillers, added sugars, pesticides and preservatives. As a bonus, you can select from five flavors. “The ancient cacao flavor is great,” says Bosworth.
Bosworth travels a lot, and there a few items she won’t leave home without. “I’ve been loving the lymphatic-drainage tights from Elastique Athletics for long-haul flights,” she says. These leggings have eight to 13 millimeters of mercury (mmHg) for light compression, which in turn, helps stimulate blood flow to prevent swelling and discomfort. Plus, strategically placed MicroPerle beads, which further assist in lymphatic drainage and work out kinks in sore muscles. We love them too—you can read our full review, here.

One product that lends Bosworth her enviable lit-from-within glow is the Love Wellness Gut Feeling Probiotics. (“Everything starts in the gut,” she says.) The formula has been third-party tested, and each capsule contains both probiotics and prebiotics to support a more balanced biome, a healthier digestive system, and brighter skin. As with many Love Wellness supplements, it skips out on sugar, tapioca or corn syrup, and artificial flavors and colors.

“Speaking of probiotics, I love the Probiotics sunscreen by Beauty of Joseon,” says Bosworth. “It’s the best.” Made with sensitive skin in mind, this face sunscreen contains rice extract (to help reduce sun damage) and fermented grains (to deliver probiotics to the skin). These antioxidant-rich ingredients can also calm redness and other signs of irritation.
“I don’t wash my face with any specific facial cleanser,” says Bosworth. “I actually use our pH Balanced Cleanser for the vulva because it’s so gentle and it works great.” The cleanser keeps its ingredients list simple, steering clear of common skin irritants, such as natural and synthetic fragrances, glycerin, parabens, SLS, SLES, and PEG. Instead, it contains aloe and candela to cleanse and calm skin. “It feels like it doesn’t strip my skin at all. I use it on my entire body actually,” she says.

“I love my facial gua sha from FaceGym,” says Bosworth. “It’s the best one I’ve ever used.” It’s shaped to fit the curves of the face, and it features multiple sides including one with a combed edge for a deeper massage. This gua sha is also made from medical-grade stainless steel, which isn’t only more durable than jade or rose quartz options, but is also nonporous to prevent bacteria buildup.
