Reframing Your Perspective – Positive Mindset

by

Reframing your perspective can transform your life. Your perspective has more power than you think.

We often face circumstances that are hard. The stress of life can overwhelm us, and sometimes we can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. And we start thinking: “Why me?“, “Why now?“, What did I do to deserve this?” This is how most of us deal with the difficulties life throws our way. This mindset allows our situation to consume us and, sometimes, fall into anxiety or even depression.

In these situations, we need to step back and look with a new perspective. We have to create a mindset that doesn’t blame external factors for our situation.

We cannot change whatever happened. The only thing we can change is our response to the situation. And if we start believing that there is always a lesson within it, our life will change.

Just keep these things in mind:

You’re not defined by any situation

Break out the stigma that we all need labels in this society. Don’t allow people’s opinions or things that happen in your life to define you. Your current circumstances don’t define who you are as a person.

See the bigger picture

In bad situations remember that there is so much life ahead of you than what you’re currently facing. When a door closes, another one may open unexpectedly. Imagine yourself achieving all you always dreamed about.

Think about resolutions

Instead of keep asking yourself “Why me?“, “I’m so unlucky“,…start thinking about things you can do to change your situation. When you start shifting your perspective, you’ll begin creating alternatives that you couldn’t see before.

Your perception creates your reality

If you constantly view life through a negative lens, you’ll see all the things that are wrong and ugly in the world and you will continue to attract more of that. If you start doing the other way, through a positive lens, you’ll attract all the positive and beautiful tiny things in life.

Increase awareness

When you’re aware of the judgments you’re making and how you are perceiving reality around you, you can start to change it. Simply being aware of this can help you to start looking for blessings and solutions.

Empower your habits

For example, start a daily ritual of writing 10 things you’re grateful for, every time you go to bed. Habits like this one can help you to be aware and ready to create positive changes in your life.

Look for the small wins

Celebrate your successes and all the small steps you’ve taken. Also, celebrate the accomplishments of others.

Reframing your perspective is a very powerful move. This turns every experience into a chance for growth, wisdom, and understanding.
